Introduction to the Bible Correspondence Course
In this day of watered-down “Bibles,” spineless preaching, and positive “Christian counseling”; in a day when the church is one step behind the world and preachers desire large churches full of rebellious, carnal Christians; in a day when right is wrong, good is bad, and righteous really means wicked; in a day when there are “no absolutes,” there is no right or wrong, there is no standard and guideline by which man can measure his relationship with his God and fellow man; in a day when a man’s word is nothing, a handshake is worthless, and being a Christian is claimed by any Bible-toting, immoral, half-dressed, television-watching, media-loving, Holy Spirit-quenching, selfish, self-centered, worldly-minded, worldly influenced, ecumenical, Bible-perverting liar. In this time when preachers pull verses out of context to back up what they believe instead of changing their beliefs to match the thinking or doctrine of God.
There is a great controversy today to discredit the Word of God by Satan and liberals who have teamed up to rewrite in their opinion what God has already said. They explain away and contradict God’s Word instead of using it to “fight the good fight of faith.” Many cannot do this [fight the good fight of faith], because they do not possess the Holy Spirit of God!!!!!! Others defend the Word of God (KJV 1611) to a like-minded crowd instead of imparting to them the “mind of God” as it practically applies to them (I say practically, because Its teachings must be applied and practiced in their everyday life to make them useful for His service). Preachers are not telling their people how God’s Word applies to their everyday life, for they refuse to preach against sin. True Christianity is a lifestyle that is to be practiced every minute of every day, not just on Sunday or at church meetings. Do not defend your weapon; USE IT!
Deeper life doctrines, philosophy, and “theology” (the study of what profit can be made pedaling God) were never taught by any of the apostles or prophets, who preached, “Thus saith the Lord.” Notice that we never see that Paul was a Christian “counselor.” Men with PhDs, known as “Christian psychologists,” (claiming to have some “higher understanding” of God and “man’s relationships”) flood “Christianity” with seminars condoning sin, justifying little John’s rebellion, preaching no doctrine, spreading love, love, love, played out of an intoxicating flute by Satan himself, who has tried to dam and destroy the one institution that is the very backbone of righteousness. It was started by the way by a “famous” rebellious evangelist who preached salvation without repentance or any change in the life of the newly saved. Billy Graham actually preached against changing as a result of salvation. To him Jesus was not One who would save you and change you, but Someone Who would love you, help you through life, and just be there for you - no hell, no punishment, no obedience, just salvation to have a Friend!! There are multitudes “saved,” who continue to live the same sinfully wicked lives returning to the same apostate and wicked “churches” that teach damnable heresies. This “philosophy” (not Biblical teaching) has spread like wildfire through the churches and multitudes have been damned by this watered-down, no-repentance, no-commitment, fear-of-God “salvation.” There are Christians listening to long-haired, guitar-toting, body-pierced, unsaved, feminine men or “sexy,” carnal, whorish women singing songs to Jesus, most of the time without using His name, (old example: “You Light Up My Life”) as if He were some kind of woman or affectionate “other.”
Feminism, the ERA, the unisex movement, the sexual revolution, situational ethics, effeminacy, prosperity preaching, ecumenicalism, toleration of sin, and the other “doctrines of devils” have replaced Sound Doctrine in the churches, including independent, “Baptist” churches, until they’re prospering and building and planning and adding and stagnating and dying and sinking and stinking and decaying, and they have lost their first Love!!! Christians looking for a “balance” with the world are using expressions like, “Don’t be so heavenly-minded, that you’re no earthly good.” Please find some Scripture to back up that heresy!!!!!!!!!!! Read Philippians 3:20, which says, “For our conversation (politics, citizenship, lifestyle) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” It sounds to me like Christians are getting very comfortable in this world!!!!!! I Peter 2:11 teaches us, “Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims (temporary sojourners, just passing through), abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul.” The saved are no longer of, by, or for this world. “If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (I John 2:15b).
Fathers do not take the responsibility that God has placed upon them. Mothers are trying to be fathers, parents are trying “tough love” instead of godly discipline. The home is run by the television. There is no family altar time; there is no family-get-on- your-knees-together-before-God time. Parents want to be their children’s buddies, children talk back and show no respect to their parents, careers are more important than children are, and children are not instructed and disciplined in the thinking and fear of the Lord. “Church kids” do not talk about Jesus, do not love Him, and do not pray to Him. God is left at the church door (if He gets that far). Christian schools are no different from public schools. Church activities are designed to entertain the kids instead of instruct and teach holiness. Churches rent ungodly businesses such as arcades, wave pools, water slides, and roller rinks, which gives money to these institutions that predominately promote nudity, satanic music, immorality, adultery, and loose living; and encourage their members to go to these places at other times when the church has not “purified” these dens of iniquity. Entertainment and fun, fun, fun, has replaced righteousness, holiness, and the foolishness of preaching!!!!!!
“Colleges” are full of ministerial students who know very little about the Bible; preacher boys polish their jokes, learn their proper delivery, and yet never meet their Savior on bended knee. Future preachers’ wives look around at the example of the breast-exposing, painted-up, see-through-bloused, slit-skirted, form-figured, non soul-winning, career-minded “preachers’ wives,” who wear all the latest fashions from the finest stores but couldn’t bend over to win someone to Christ, because her clothes are so tight and still hasn’t, because “that’s her husband’s ministry”- she has her own life!!!!!!!!! Newspapers deliver sermon outlines that are quickly scratched down between sporting events by “preachers of the gospel.” Pulpits are “good career decisions.” Preachers have soul- winning time for the church but are never there to lead the flock. Soul winning is done for a number and only on Saturday or Thursday night. “Bus calling” has replaced soul winning and is led by a fat, blue-jean wearing woman, who, if she could, would preach on Sunday (and would probably use more verses in her “sermon” than the present sermonette giver).
The home is backwards and upside down. The church is worldly and ecumenical. The preacher struts into the church in the finest threads, “suffering for Jesus” in his new car; instead of being the church’s “minister,” he is the churches “baby sitter,” rocking the cradle, but never the boat!!!!!!! His sermons come from one verse, never line upon line and precept upon precept, as he mixes and quotes more philosophy, history, stories, and one-liners than a stand-up comedian quotes. When the “sermonette” is finished, the children are still worldly rebels (just look at their attitudes and their desire to look as close to the world as possible, expose as much flesh, and use as much worldly vernacular). Mothers are still immodest, career-minded, worldly thinking gossips. The fathers are still more concerned with work, sports, and their family vacation than anything having to do with righteousness, holiness, and separation from the world, the flesh, and the devil. Mommies and daddies do not spend any time with their children. Yet churches are full, pews are packed, sermons are sweetly expressed, Satan smiles as Christians are not taught life changing “Sound Doctrine.”
In this apostate, worldly-minded, carnal, lukewarm, unrighteous, unholy, end-times era that we live, the need for Sound Doctrine to be preached from Scripture is crucial if there is to be any blessings of God or revival in the weak, watered-down, “do-your-own-thing” churches of today.
